Biodiesel processing plant for Louis Dreyfus

TECNA and ISOLUX will built for Louis Dreyfus a biodiesel processing plant in General Lagos, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina, whose raw material is refined soybean oil and it will produce 300,000 tons per year. The scheduled execution time is 12 months.

The project is very important for TECNA, since it is a new major customer. Until now DREYFUS used to build its plants in-house. This time relied on TECNA's vast experience in energy projects, and on ISOLUX experience building Biodiesel plants in Spain.

This project, along with the ethanol plant in Colombia, position TECNA as an EPC company with the technological capacity required for for biofuels market.

 Project scope includes:

 - Basic and detail engineering.
 - Design of Metal Structures of the process area.
 - Mechanical design.
 - Project planning and control.
 - Technical specifications of equipment, instruments, cables, etc.
 - Procurement of equipment, materials and others.
 - Supply of piping, fittings, valves, etc.. within the battery limits.
 - Supply of equipment and electrical material within the battery limits.
 - Supply of equipment and materials for instrumentation and control within the battery limits.
 - Supply of material for insulation and painting within the limits of battery.
 - Installation and construction of the unit (in each of the specialties).
 - Supervision of works.
 - Precommissioning testing and commissioning.
 - Launch.
 - Hand plant and equipment.

The plant is located in General Lagos, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina, 286 km from Buenos Aires.
