Start-Up in Colombia

On December 19th electromechanical assembly and automation of gas compression stations La Jagua del Pilar, Curumani and San Alberto were completed.

The plants are located in the departments of La Guajira and Cesar in northern Colombia, on Barrancabermeja pipeline which operates TGI (Transportadora de Gas Internacional).

Each compression plant includes 3 3600 HP unites powered by Caterpillar engines that increase pipeline transportation capacity of 190 MCFD (million cubic feet per day) to 260 MCFD. The tasks in this work included 80,000 m3 of soil movement, 3,800 m3 of concrete, and installation of 750 tons of structures and 950 tons of pipe fittings.

Also a 3.7 km pipeline built to pressurize Puente Guillermo Compression Station was enabled, wich allowed to launch the first four compression units within a total of 7 of this plant, wich is located on the Cusiana - Basque - Cali pipeline. The other three units are also available to TGI from January 30th.

This station is in the department of Santander, 175 km north of Bogota, and through the 7 units of 2,500 HP will allow the expansion of pipeline transportation capacity of 210 MCFD to 450 MCFD. The works on this site included 50,000 m3 of soil movement, 2,100 m3 of concrete, and installation of 190 tons of structures and 450 tons of pipe fittings.

TECNA activities in these projects, conducted in partnership with Sadeven SA, included detail engineering, supply of materials and equipment, construction, installation, assembly, testing and start up.
