Track Record

Since its very beginning, TECNA has developed both medium and low power electrical generation units in order to meet the internal energy demand of industrial plants, particularly in the natural gas and petroleum market.

Current Projects 

Rio Turbio Thermoelectric Plant

  • Client: Yacimientos Carboníferos Río Turbio (YCRT)
  • Location: Santa Cruz Province, Argentina
  • Contract Type: Public Works Turnkey Project.
  • Services Included: Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Implementation (EPC).
  • Description: Two Circulating Fluidized-Bed (CFB) Steam Generators known for their durability and low emission levels that utilize coal as their main fuel source to power two 120 MW steam turbines.

Combined Cycle Conversion Loma de la Lata Thermoelectric Plant

  • Client: Pampa Holding S.A.
  • Location: Prov. Neuquén, Argentina.
  • Contract Type: EPC.
  • Alcance: Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Implementation.
  • Description: Conversion to combined cycle of the plant which currently features 3 x 123 MW Gas Turbines. The project objective is to utilize the residual heat from the gas turbines for steam generation through the installation of three Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) to power a 185 MW steam turbine.

  • Location: Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.
  • Contract Type: Obra publica bajo la modalidad Llave en Mano
  • Services Included: Engineering.
  • Description: 560 MW, 2 x 280 MW Turbogas, Simple Cycle. Planned Conversion to Combined Cycle. Siemens Turbines.
     

Brigadier Lopez Thermoelectric Plant

  • Client: UTE ISOLUX.
  • Location: Santa Fe Province, Argentina.
  • Contract Type: Public Works Turnkey Project. 
  • Services Included: Engineering.
  • Description: 1 x 280 MW Turbogas Turbine, Simple Cycle. Planned Conversion to Combined Cycle. Siemens Turbines. 
     

Operation & Maintenance
Specialized Services for three Petroleum Plants 

  • Client: Repsol YPF – Block 16.
  • Location: Orellana Province, Ecuador.
  • Contract Type: O&M 13 years.
  • Services Included: Electrical Generation and distribution at oilfield.
  • Description: 90 MW Installed Capacity, currently generating 53 MW of electricity.  Eighty-four person team. ISO Certified. 97-99% Availability.
